KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT

Clear scope. A useful next step.

One cold radiator or a wider heating problem?

Tell us whether one room, several radiators or the whole system is affected, and whether hot water still works. A cold radiator, leaking valve and boiler fault may need different work. These observations help plan the assessment without treating a symptom as a diagnosis.

Plan the work around your system

Give the boiler type, any visible fault code and recent changes to controls or pipework. Agree the assessment and any proposed valve, control or radiator work before it proceeds. Gas-boiler work is carried out only within the attending engineer’s relevant qualifications.

Understand the proposed result

Ask what will be checked after the repair and whether further attention is recommended. If a replacement, flush or additional part is proposed, agree its need, scope and price first. The published boiler-repair labour guide is not a fixed price for every heating-system fault.

For a planned visit, request an appointment online. The plumber confirms attendance and the work and price are agreed before work starts. For emergencies or out-of-hours work, call 0131 210 0505.
